Annapolis Pediatrics 2009 Flu Clinics
UPDATED NOVEMBER 10, 2009
We are pleased to announce that we have received additional supplies of seasonal influenza vaccine. We will be offering a clinic for children to receive either their initial flu vaccine dose, or a second dose for children who are getting seasonal flu vaccine for the first time, this year. If your child received 2 doses of seasonal flu vaccine in a prior year, you do not need 2 doses.
We will have both FluMist and Injectible vaccine at this clinic. You may select which you prefer to receive, if you are eligible for FluMist. For information on eligibility for FluMist, please visit our website.
We will offer, by appointment only, seasonal flu vaccine:
in Waugh Chapel on Saturday, November 14 from 10am - Noon.
If you would like to attend this flu clinic, please call the Annapolis Office to schedule your appointment (follow the prompts for the Same Day Appointment Line).
Due to unusually high demand this year, both Seasonal Flu Vaccine and H1N1 Vaccine have been in short supply and have been slow in arriving in our offices. We want to strongly emphasize that we only have a limited number of doses or Seasonal Flu Vaccine available at this time. For both vaccines, we do not know when the vaccine is coming or how much we will receive. We reiterate that patients who are able to receive vaccines through another source, including health departments, please do so. And most importantly, we do not have control over this procedure.
We will do our best to vaccinate as many of our patients as we have vaccine for and do it as quickly as our staffing and physical space allows. Thank you for your patients and understanding.
