Well Child Visits
Annapolis Pediatrics makes every effort to follow the American Academy of Pediatrics recommended schedule for well child visits. We believe that this schedule allows for the best preventative care and allows us to ensure full compliance with the AAP’s and CDC’s recommended immunization schedules.
Currently, the schedule for well-child visits is as follows:
Newborn well-child visits should occur by 1 week, then 1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, and 18 months. Beginning at 2 years of age, we recommend annual visits until 6 years of age, after which we schedule well-child visits at 8 and 10 years of age. Annual physicals are recommended for all children over age 10.

If your child participates in sports, camps, or some other programs, a physical exam may be required within the past 12 months. Call our office if you need to schedule a physical exam at any time.
You should also be aware that not all insurance providers cover all well-child visits or vaccines. You should always check with your insurance provider to know the limits of your coverage. We attempt to work with our patients to ensure they receive the best medical care possible. Please see our Billing page for more information.
