With 25 years of nursing experience plus five years as a nurse practitioner, Ms. Thompson has helped numerous children get well and stay healthy. She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Maryland. Ms. Thompson is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP), and of Sigma Theta Tau, a nursing honor society.

She is also certified by the National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses. Ms. Thompson has a special interest in providing neonatal intensive care.

She is married with two children. Her favorite vacation destination is the Caribbean.

When she is not busy with patients, she enjoys running.
